Well, I think I've let this go on long enough without saying anything.

It seems that this role-play community is pretty much on it's last leg. I'm fairly sure how it happened (I'm guessing the length of inactivity due to the 'ghost' event did it in for the most part) and I do feel fairly responsible that the place has had dust blowing around in it for the past month.

I really don't want to do this, but I'm thinking I'm going to have to for now. I am putting this role-play on hiatus for an unknown period of time. I'm not closing it, per se, as I did work hard to come up with the concept, plot, and so on for it and I don't want to just toss it to the side. However, we seem to have a problem getting new people to join in -- and I think I know exactly what said problem is. The game is set in an AU world, and people confused that with the characters being AU as well, so they ran straight over to reserve their characters ... then they realized that the characters weren't AU themselves and never came back. Either that or my very, very long reserve time block made them feel no sense of urgency to get an application in and thus, they forgot. I'm not positive.

I'm really sorry to do this to everyone, since I know a few of you are at least attempting to bring things back to life a little here, and I sincerely appreciate it. All of you are outright terrific role-players, and I'm dead serious when I say that I'm not just saying that because I'm the moderator here. I mean it. I loved everyone's characterizations of both original and canon characters, and that's what really made me so reluctant to put this place on hiatus. Seriously, there are certain role-players who play Tales characters in other RPs I'm in that seem completely OOC compared to the players here who play the same characters. I thank you very, very much for participating here and I really hope you all had a good time.

I especially want to apologize to the person who just applied for Asch here. I did see your application and was about to accept it the day you sent it in, but it was around that time that I realized that this place was going to need some official down-time and I didn't want to just accept you and say "oh, lol, RP's in hiatus, kthx". That would just be flat out rude. I just feel bad that you went through the process of filling out and sending in the application, just to have me do this. Again, I'm sorry for that.

I know I'll probably get some of you saying "don't apologize, it's alright!", but I guess I just feel the need to say it, whether it was my fault or not that things ground to a halt. If you want to keep your characters here in the off chance I manage to revive this place faster than I anticipate, then do so. If you think I'm just saying that it's on hiatus and that the place will never re-open again, then feel free to leave the communities. It's completely up to you and I won't be insulted or angry with you in any way, shape, or form.

Any open plots that are going on can be still seen through to the end, even with this hiatus going on. No new official plots will be enacted and no one new will be accepted, that's all. Also, none of the logs or posts will be deleted -- I just find deleting things like that to be silly and downright insulting to the players who participated in the logs and posts.

I just want to state that this role-play being put on hiatus has nothing to do with the other multi-fandom role-play I opened recently. I can very easily handle both role-plays at once, even if the other one was a lot more active than I anticipated right from the start. This one has been dying for a while, and until I find out how to fix this so that not only more people will be interested, but that the place will stay at least fairly active, it will be (as I said a bunch of times already) on hiatus.

As a final note, I want to thank both of my co-moderators, Madi and Rainie, for volunteering to help me out with this place. I really appreciated knowing that I had you two around to help me out when the need arises. I'm sorry that I pretty much did everything and made it seem as if you two just had a shiny title, though.

Thank you very much for playing here and I hope to bump into you all elsewhere in the role-playing world.

Kyio, the head moderator

I just want to bring up a couple of things and you know me Kyio, none of this come off offensive or attacking you.

[1] You got me really confused. Even though this is a hiatus notice... it sounds... like a 'I'm closing down the rp". I may not be the only one who might feel confused this way, but even though you said one thing, it implies another. It might be the wording or something, but by the way it's written, it sounds like you're closing the RP down.
[2] I think the reserve time for the apps was a bit long and it was one of those things I was MEANING to tell you but I fail so you're right, it might have had no sense of urgency, thus people forgot about them and came back. But you know what I noticed? When an RP starts out and first is advertised, you always get those slew of people who reserve and NEVER apply. =\ It's weird.
[3] Oh boo, you know you don't need to thank me. I'm glad after all we've been through, that you considered me for helping you. That means a lot to me. It really does and you know that. But I'm saying it again. You know I'm always here to help you if you need it.

1) I know it does ... I guess it's because I was a little torn between actually just shutting it down and never going back to it again or putting it on hiatus and fixing it up when I have the time/figure out how to get more people interested. Also, I was getting up to do things while I was typing it, so that probably messed up my mind-set and made it switch back from "hiatus" to "closing down". But really, I don't want to abandon the idea and shut things down forever -- but by time I fix it, things might be a lot different, I don't know.

2) Yeah, I was thinking that for a while as well, and I have absolutely no idea why I didn't change it. The thing was, we were getting reserves when the RP had been out for a fair amount of time, and they didn't come back either.

3) And you know I'll always appreciate that ♥

I was afraid that this was going to happen... Not to throw stones or anything, but admittedly the ghost event did slow me down. I wanted to finish up that event before making a new entry in Jade's journal or interacting much elsewhere in case something significant happened that would affect his entry. Not to mention if it was a journal entry it's entirely likely that he would comment on the ghost, if just to make the rumor sound terribly dull to squash more exploration, or to do something humorous with it, like insinuate that Dist was the ghost because of how pale he is. I'm sorry if that sounds accusing, but that's the reason why I haven't made any new posts in Jade's journal. Sorry if my low activity's contributed to this club having to go on hiatus for a while. ^^;

Yeah ... but really, there's no need to apologize ^_^; What you said didn't sound accusing at all, and I really didn't think the ghost event would take as long as it did when I came up with it >>; It slowed everyone down because of the length of it all, and people more than likely didn't know what to say anymore after it, so ... yeah. I understand, so you don't have to apologize o/

Actually I've been having the same problem as Jade too, what with making new posts and stuff. I'm not blaming this on the ghost event, but it's been harder to come up with new topics to talk about lately. So I guess updates on my journal just slowed down a little... :\

Sorry about the hiatus ._.; But hopefully it'll get better over the summer when school's out and people have more time on their hands.

It's alright, really. Everyone slowed down, either because of the ghost event, or because of life hitting them upside the head (aka exams and the like, as I know that caused quite a bit of slowdowns in other places).

Yeah, I'm hoping that I can get this place back up and running by August, at the very least ._.; I just have to sort through some things before I can.

Aw crap... I imagine some of it was my fault for squeezing Dist in to the thread at the end. ^^;; Sorry about that.

Don't worry about it, it's okay. Hiatus happen, so I think everyone understands.
